Dance Works is proud to present its unique and complete dance program under the direction of Lisa Allen, with exceptionally talented instructors. The classes are designed to build self-confidence, self-expression and motivation.
This is great fun!

We offer the following classes:

  • Cheer Tumble (6-15 years) Acrobatic movements are combined with cheer stunts as students learn the fundamentals of cheer movement and timing.

  • Pre-Ballet & Tap (3 & 4 years) Primary Ballet & Tap (5 years) These classes teach boys and girls the fundamentals of ballet and tap dance while incorporating creative movement & singing, something every child loves. The diversity of these classes holds even the busiest child’s attention.

  • Musical Theatre (6-15) Singing, Dancing and acting all wrapped up into one! This exciting class will teach young people the best of Broadway musicals, new and classic. Instructed by a Broadway principle dancer, they are sure to be wowed!

  • Ballet (6 years- adult) ballet is considered the foundation of artistic dance. Its meticulous attention to technical detail makes it invaluable for any dancer. Combining proper alignment and body placement, seamless transitions through standard arm, leg, and feet position and astute sense of timing, it trains dancers to be clean, versatile performers.

  • Pointe (12 & up) for the intermediate to advanced level ballet dancer. This discipline is intricate & challenging, yet extremely beautiful. Must have director’s approval.

  • Pilates (9-adult) an exercise class that focuses on strength training, breathing alignment and flexibility. You will learn proper technique to achieve the most efficient and effective workout.

  • Hip-Hop/Breakdance (7 years-adult) Hip Hop is a blend of today’s high energy “street style” movement typically performed to popular rap music. This style of dance has been very sought after by teen, preteens and the “young at heart”. The style boasts that everyone is capable of taking part and having fun! Sometimes percussive and other times it incorporates the “house or club” dancing, making hip hop the latest dance phenomenon.

  • Jazz (6 years-adult) Lyrical (9 years – adult) Jazz and Lyrical have continued to evolve with various ethnic and cultural influences since its origin and in the late 1950’s. Even though no can pinpoint it’s beginning, both Broadway and Hollywood have made this type of dance big on stage and screen. Very much like ballet, jazz and lyrical tend to be very technical with a wider range of musical options lending itself to more interpretation.

  • Tap (6 years-adult) tap is smooth, intricate yet percussive and stylish and excellent for motor skills and rhythms. Fun!

  • Salsa and Ballroom (8 years – adult) Not just for the couple. These classes are structured to teach all styles of Latin and traditional dances. Group and individual classes available.
